Within POSperfect itself is a 20-level security matrix that can be applied to most functions in the entire system. some examples are:

• Controlling which staff can accept returns


• Controlling which staff create customer accounts


• Controlling which staff can discount/markdown sales


• Controlling which staff can view reports

Each staff member is set at a level on the matrix and each function can be assigned a level. Staff below that assigned level cannot access that function. In addition to all that, the system records all actions made, e.g. opening the cash drawer, that can be subsequently tracked.
